Do you love pizza? Well, if you do here is a super easy recipe so you can do it yourself whenever you like.
4 cups all purpose or bread flour, plus more for rolling
1 teaspoon sugar
1 envelope instant dry yeast
2 teaspoons salt
1 1/4cups hot water (I give it 1 minute and 15 seconds in the microwave)
2 tablespoons olive oil, plus more for greasing
Combine flour, sugar, yeast and salt in a bowl. Remember to put the dough hook attachment to the mixer.
Add water and 2 tablespoons of the oil and beat until the dough forms into a ball. If the dough is sticky, add more flour, 1 tablespoon at a time. If it is too dry, add water, 1 tablespoon at a time.
Put the dough in a lightly floured surface (like parchment paper) and gently knead into a smooth, firm ball.
Grease a large bowl with olive oil, add the dough, cover the bowl with plastic wrap and put it in a warm area to let it double in size, about 1 hour. (I put it in the microwave).
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface, lightly knead it and divide it into 2 equal pieces. Cover each with plastic wrap and let them rest for about 10 minutes.
Now that you have your dough, let’s make some pizzas!
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Divide each of the dough balls into 2 pieces. You will end up with 4 dough balls. Take one and roll it (I do it with a wine bottle) until it is nicely flat. Place the dough on a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
Now, go crazy! First, spread a bit of olive oil on the pizza dough. Add any sauce and toppings that you love in your pizza. I personally love vegetables and lots of cheese.
Once you finish, bake the pizza for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and enjoy!
